There is a challenge to know our own unique truth in this age of information. You have a unique frequency in the same way as fingerprints, gifts and desires. Your own voice is healing to You. Expression is the ultimate in living your balanced life. Can you think of a time when you felt safe to express? Being lite up singing, dancing, writing and the energy flow was fluid.
Express yourself.
Speak your truth.
Write from the heart.
Celebrate your uniqueness.
The energy center of the 5th chakra relates to sound, communication, vibrations and creativity. The color is sky blue. The element is space. There is space for you to create and express yourself.
Vibrations. What does that mean to you? Sounds coming in and going out. Every day there are sounds and vibrations of nature that wake up the earth. A city has a bustling high energy vibration. A walk in nature has a calming vibration.
The energy of expression has been a lifelong challenge for me. I have found places of safety that help me express comfortably and with practice this flows over to other areas and relationships. I found comfort to express my writing after joining the community at A Writing Room. Last year at their retreat, they offered for every writer to use their voice in stating their name and declare “I am a writer”. The group acknowledged each one. This was a transformative action for many and it came about by using their own voice. So many self help books and videos help with instilling this confidence but transformation happens with action and using our own unique voice.
When we have balance then expressing thoughts and desires flow effortlessly. Vocalize goals and desires will make direction become clear. Once clear on what you want then the actions will follow. If we don’t express, then we cannot heal or grow. Mantras are used in yoga for this reason.
Walk the talk.
Actions in line with communication.
Speaking the truth about a goal.
Express authenticity.
Use powerful mantras.
Give yourself the authorization.
I find that running is meditative and releases creative ideas. To me running is freedom. I am out in the world expressing my desire to be healthy by moving my body. I notice the difference in vibrations while running in various locations. Running in the city my ideas and thoughts are more in line with a ‘to do’ list. When I run on nature trails my ideas are new, fresh and exciting. Rewards in nature are clarity, ideas, hope for good things, resolutions and calming to the nervous system.

I wonder if Substack has helped those of us who found writing later in life finally liberate the voice that’s been longing to come out.
I’m looking forward to reading more from you. For a few years I was a distance runner. I ran and did yoga and LOVED how my body felt with both. I’m on a journey to return to that fitness level.
Write on!
