Namaste’ definition seems to fit the crown chakra perfectly. The light in me honors the light in you.
Crown Chakra is the 7th energy center with its location being the top of the head.
Element is beyond element.
Purpose is understanding.
Color is violet.
Spiritually connected.
Teacher appears when student is ready.
Universal identity.
Researching a balanced crown chakra, I found this one line to be the most beautiful sentiment. Ability to see life as a gift. As in a moment of feeling life at its fullest and balanced. Feeling interconnected to everyone and the environment around you.
As an athlete do you remember the last time you felt in the zone, in the flow? As a writer do you remember the last time you felt creative and in the flow?
A state of natural joy that comes from a strong, flexible body and relaxed mind.
The afterglow of reaching a goal might look like a self realization of knowing what you are capable of and how to be a better athlete going forward. The bliss in sports is the elation felt going through the finish line or making the final winning score.
After the race there is gratitude of how it all worked together for good. Being connected to sport, other athletes, friends and to your family. Elation, where the task has been completed or the goal has been achieved. It is awareness of all the senses and being fully present in the moment. This too will end and you will move on from here, but take this moment with you as a reminder to be present and celebrate you!
I relate crown chakra to crossing the finish line and knowing that I gave it my best. I have a few finish line experiences where the support, training and race day execution came together for a memorable finish of being in the zone and totally in the present moment. One in particular was my Ironman finish a few years ago. I had the support of family and friends, a good training plan and the desire to complete the distance. When I came up to the finish line and felt the excitement from the people cheering for me, it was electrifying. It felt that I was no longer aware of my body and gliding through the finish on air. I have never smiled so big in my life. To know I could endure, to feel the connection with the everyone in the sport and the cheers from spectators was incredible. I was so happy and felt so much love for myself and everyone and everything. To me that is the crown chakra with all the energy centers working together and fully balanced, fully aware and full of love.
Balanced chakras represent energy centers from the ground up. It is to be safe, secure, in action, expressive and ultimately a feeling a oneness with all beings around us. The reality of an enlightened state is that it fades. How can we have more of this balanced state of energy? Consistency is the answer. Consistent yoga practice, meditation or prayer. Gratitude is the pathway.
Gratitude
For the small things today
Tomorrow’s big things

Comfort tomorrow
Gratitude mornings
Better thoughts
Better relationships
Clear and focused goals.
Crown chakra to me represents going to the mountain top, to pray or meditate, gazing out on the landscapes below and feeling a sense of present moment and deep gratitude.
Agree - focus on the process and not the goal..
“How can we have more of this balanced state of energy? Consistency is the answer. Consistent yoga practice, meditation or prayer. Gratitude is the pathway.” - I love that!!
